I have worked for the National Health Service (NHS) in the mental health field since 1995. I started as an Occupational Therapy Technician in long term rehabilitation. I then went on to study at Southampton University and gained a B.Sc (hons) Occupational Therapy in 1999. Since qualifying, I have worked in a range of mental health settings including; rehabilitation, acute mental health hospitals, psychiatric intensive care wards and community mental health teams. During my career I have worked with people of all age ranges and backgrounds. In 2003 I left the NHS for a year to run my own project, teaching DJ workshops in schools, youth clubs and hospitals. In 2002 I discovered EFT and completed my level one certificate. After having impressive results with myself, friends and family, I completed my Meridian Energy Therapy Practitioner training in 2006. I have been working privately with EFT since then. B.Sc (hons) Occupational Therapy Practitioner of Meridian Therapies Susan Forster In 2001 I took
the opportunity to enhance my skills and completed 3yrs at university,
qualifying as a Mental Health Nurse. Since then I
have worked in Specialist Inpatient Forensic Services and Community Mental
Health. During my career I have seen a variety of disorders, and applied
various self help techniques to support clients and their families, overcome
and cope with their difficulties. I became
interested in Complementary Therapies several years ago, in particular
Emotional Freedom Technique of which I am now a qualified Meridian Energy Therapist. From working
with private clients family and friends, have discovered the results with this
therapy appear to be more effective than other traditional self help techniques
that I have used as a Mental Health Nurse. RMN Dip |
